Malaysia’s thriving halal sector will appeal to investors
particularly with the current tax incentives for halal producers. In
August 2008, Nestlé proposed the government introduce further monetary
incentives to attract additional business to the region, however, there
has yet to be a response from the government in relation to Nestlé’s
suggestions.

NSF today announced that KL Texas, L.P. (dba Summit Industrial
Products), a worldwide leader in synthetic lubricant technology, is
the first company in North America to receive Certification to ISO
21469: Safety of machinery - Lubricants with Incidental Product

Halal venture is tasty for food giant Nestlé as it cashes in on surging demand

Food giant Nestlé has gone halal in 75 of
its 480 plants worldwide as it cashes in on a surge in demand for food
and products acceptable to devout Muslims.
Growing number of Australian manufacturers embracing Halal and Kosher certification
Australia was the first non-Muslim country to place Halal
certification under legislation and, according to the Australian Halal
Food Directory, there are currently four recognized certifying bodies
in Australia for Halal food.
